Virus Protection

http://live.pirillo.com/ - I63G asks: does Kaspersky scan my computer while it's off?

If you mean when your computer is off, then the answer is no. When your computer is turned off nothing is going to happen. The only thing that could happen is an electrical surge, which could damage your hardware. Nothing is going to happen in software.

If you means when Kaspersky is turned off then the answer is no: it's not going to scan your computer. This means it's not going to effectively keep you protected.

Do you run your anti-virus ion the background all the time, or do you only run a virus scan on regular intervals (or do you just not run anti-virus software at all?)
