Star Wars Jedi Path Book Review

http://go.tagjag.com/jedipath - http://twitter.com/chrispirillo - http://facebook.com/chrispirillo - I happen to have the manual for students of the Force. This venerable text crafted by ancient Jedi masters has educated and enlightened generations of Jedi. A single copy has survived. It's now been passed on to me. Thankfully I was able to make sure you can get YOUR copy, as well. Wasn't that Jedi-like of me? The Jedi Path is an amazing tome - one you definitely are going to have to have. http://chris.pirillo.com - http://live.pirillo.com

As a huge Amiga fan, Dan wanted to show off some of the great new features built into both Amiga Forever 2010 and C64 Forever 2010. Both products are emulators, combining high-quality software and original content with the ultimate set of videos to chronicle and let you experience firsthand the history, culture, challenges and passion behind the machines. http://twitter.com/danwood_uk - http://lockergnome.com/danwood

http://go.tagjag.com/starwarssounds - http://twitter.com/chrispirillo - http://facebook.com/chrispirillo - If you are as big of a Star Wars fan as I am, you love every sound in each of the movies. I love the little noises R2-D2 makes. It's awesome to hear Chewbacca's adorable little Wookiee sounds. Now you don't have to watch the movies in order to hear your favorites sounds. Just grab the new Sounds of Star Wars book and enjoy! http://live.pirillo.com - http://chris.pirillo.com

How Does Your iPhone Stand?

http://go.tagjag.com/gogostand - http://twitter.com/chrispirillo - http://facebook.com/chrispirillo - I have the pleasure of taking a look at a lot of products. Sadly, I don't always have the time to review every single thing that is sent to me. If something is unique or really good, I definitely make time for it. The other day, I received a letter. Inside of this single sheet of normal typing paper sat three device stands which can be used for an iPhone, iPod touch or any other type of portable phone. They're so thin and small, I wasn't sure that they would even work. I HAD to take a closer look at these. http://chris.pirillo.com - http://live.pirillo.com

Keyboard Carrying Case Review

http://twitter.com/chrispirillo - http://facebook.com/chrispirillo - http://chris.pirillo.com - I usually lug several different things around with me when I'm out and about. I take my iPad, in case I need to do any work. Then, of course, I have the Bluetooth wireless keyboard for it, my iPhone, perhaps a netbook... and various cords. I tend to throw all of the cords into a gallon-sized baggie, which doesn't give such a great impression. I've been on the lookout for a good-looking and durable carrying case for small items such as this. The one sent to me by Waterfield fits the bill perfectly. http://chris.pirillo.com

Box Wine Myth

http://twitter.com/chrispirillo - http://facebook.com/chrispirillo - http://chris.pirillo.com - There is often a bad perception surrounding box wine. People turn their noses up, feeling the quality couldn't possibly be good. I'm not a wine snob - I'll try anything at least once! I also am a person who lives alone and therefore doesn't always drink a bottle of wine before it goes stale. Drinking this boxed wine is a great solution. The inner bag is vacuum-sealed so that the liquid inside manages to retain the taste for a long period of time. Best of all... the taste is actually darn good much of the time. http://twitter.com/hipsforhire - http://live.pirillo.com

Do Your Speakers Suck?

http://go.tagjag.com/xminicapsule - http://go.tagjag.com/xminimax - Let's face it - portable devices such as phones do not have high-quality speakers built into them. They wouldn't be quite so portable if they had huge speakers to lug around, right? However, there are times when you just need a better quality of sound coming out of your phone or even pumping out to a group of people. That's why I jumped on the chance to review a couple of different removable speakers for my iPhone, courtesy of X-Mini. http://twitter.com/chrispirillo - http://facebook.com/chrispirillo

LEGO Space Needle Review

http://go.tagjag.com/spaceneedle - http://twitter.com/chrispirillo - http://facebook.com/chrispirillo - At 400 Broad Street in Seattle stands the Space Needle. It's an observation tower built in 1961 for the World's Fair. I was able to build my LEGO version much faster than the real one was created. This kit is part of the LEGO Architecture Series. This isn't just some toy... it's a piece of art. I can shelve it in my home and let people talk about it when they see it. It's truly well-made and looks great. http://live.pirillo.com - http://chris.pirillo.com

How Has Technology Changed Your Life?

http://twitter.com/chrispirillo - http://facebook.com/chrispirillo - http://chris.pirillo.com - There's no denying that technology has made our lives easier in many respects. Over the past 20 years we have seen amazing accomplishments. As an article on The Consumerist recently mentioned, back in 1990, mobile phones were the size of toddlers, we struggled with programming our VCR and bills were paid by check... in the mail. iPod touch Camera vs iPhone 4 - Still Photography

http://go.tagjag.com/apple - http://www.facebook.com/chrispirillo - Yes, I posted the still photos to my Facebook, Twitter, blog, etc. last week. You may have seen them already if you were following me off-network. However, this screencast sums up the differences quite nicely, I believe. The iPod touch's camera, in a word, sucks.

iPad Stand Review - Wood is Good

http://go.tagjag.com/iecostand - http://facebook.com/chrispirillo - http://twitter.com/chrispirillo - This is NOT an ordinary block of wood. It has a notch in it, which automatically makes it totally awesome. I could do many things with this particular block of wood. However, it was designed to accommodate an iPad! It holds the device in either Portrait or Landscape position. I can also easily set it up in order to type on the iPad. http://chris.pirillo.com - http://live.pirillo.com

Are You an Angry Birds Addict?

http://go.tagjag.com/angrybirds - http://twitter.com/chrispirillo - http://facebook.com/chrispirillo - I'm being told that this is the single most addictive game available for the iPhone. I don't get it though. WHY are people addicted to it? I get that there are these cute little birds who appear to be ticked off at some pigs. It's kinda cool shooting the birds out of the slingshot to knock the pigs down and kill them. As soon as I play another level, I promise to figure out why you people like to play this... crap! How to Explain Collaboration

http://team.forsvarsmakten.se/english/ - http://twitter.com/chrispirillo - http://facebook.com/chrispirillo - The other day, Andrew sent a link to this game for me to try out. He knows that I am a fan of puzzles, and thought I would enjoy this team test. It is owned by the Swedish Army, and they use it for team-building exercise. The opening splash screen tells you that "We demand a lot of our officers. Cooperation is a given." I was almost afraid to play the game. I'm definitely no officer, but I do like to cooperate and be part of a team effort. I'm glad I took a chance - this game is great! http://chris.pirillo.com - http://live.pirillo.com

LEGO is for Boys and Girls

http://twitter.com/chrispirillo - http://facebook.com/chrispirillo - http://chris.pirillo.com - I was pretty young when I received my first LEGO set. There was no such thing as minifigs back then, unfortunately. Even though I'm an adult now, I still love to collect LEGO kits - and more specifically, minifigs. While visiting the LEGO store not long ago, I found a set a minifigs I didn't already own. Each of the persons in this set just happens to be a female! The iPod Screen Needs a Cleaner

http://twitter.com/chrispirillo - http://facebook.com/chrispirillo - http://chris.pirillo.com - If you are under the belief that the new iPod touch 4th gen is made of the same material as the iPhone 4, you'd better think again. The iPod touch does not have an oleophobic screen - one that resists smudging and fingerprints. While the iPhone will certainly get a few little smudges on its screen at the end of the day, the iPod touch is just "ewwww" after only a few moments. http://live.pirillo.com

Halo: Reach

http://www.facebook.com/chrispirillo - http://twitter.com/ChrisPirillo - Microsoft and Bungie sent me an advance copy of "Halo: Reach" to play. Given that I'm not that much of a FPS kind of geek, I thought I'd just pop in the disc and let you see what I saw - for the first time, together. After stopping the recording, i did play it for quite a while longer - as the people at http://live.pirillo.com/ will tell you. In fact, I might still be playing it right now. I've learned one thing about "Halo: Reach" so far: DON'T LET THE AI PLAYERS DRIVE.

Web Browser Games

Not sure if you'd heard of these two in particular, but I'd be surprised if you had - unless you were following me on Twitter and Facebook, then you would have found out about these two and a helluva lot more long before this video was uploaded. http://nodeknockout.com/ has a few others.

Dropbox Tools

http://go.tagjag.com/dropbox - http://twitter.com/chrispirillo - http://facebook.com/chrispirillo - It's been a while since I last talked to you about Dropbox. It's a service which gives you 2GB of free storage space in the cloud. You can then purchase up to 100GB of space if you wish to. The best part of Dropbox is being able to share your space with as many others as you choose. Invite people to download or add files, and even help organize them into separate folders. I Hack Household Products

http://go.tagjag.com/householdsnake - http://twitter.com/chrispirillo - http://facebook.com/chrispirillo - I recently returned home after being away for a month. Much to my dismay, I found my house overrun with fruit flies when I walked in the door. Some of them were still flying around, but a few had managed to die - inside of my mini-blinds. Argh! I tried a few different things to get them out of there without hurting the blinds. I ended up having to head to a local store and picking up something to use. It may not have been originally intended to clean dead bugs out of window blinds, but that's okay - the newest household hacker made it work! http://chris.pirillo.com

Why Should You Buy an iPod shuffle?

http://twitter.com/chrispirillo - http://facebook.com/chrispirillo - My thoughts on Apple's new iPod Shuffle. Seriously. If anything, the new iPod Nano should replace all use cases for an iPod Shuffle - minus price, which is relatively negligible.

Archos 101 Internet Tablet

http://twitter.com/chrispirillo - http://facebook.com/chrispirillo - http://chris.pirillo.com - This new machine is probably one of the most affordable 10.1" capacitive Android 2.2 ARM Cortex A8 tablets. It has beautiful built-in HDMI output and full sized USB host. Pricing will start $299 for the 8GB model with MicroSD slot. It's amazingly thin and light, weighing only 480 grams. That is 30% less heavy than the iPad and it's got 12% more screen surface area than the iPad. - This video was filmed by Charbax of http://ARMdevices.net at the IFA consumer electronics show in Berlin Germany.

Why Should You Buy an iPod Nano?

http://twitter.com/chrispirillo - http://facebook.com/chrispirillo - http://chris.pirillo.com Just when you thought the iPod Nano couldn't get any smaller, Apple is introducing one that is 46% smaller! This thing is really tiny. They took away the click wheel, and have made the device into a click screen. This is perfect for an entire set of people who want something small that they can take with them on the go. One big drawback is that there is no longer a camera on the Nano. http://live.pirillo.com
