iWork for the iPad

http://chris.pirillo.com - http://twitter.com/chrispirillo - http://facebook.com/chrispirillo - I was at a conference a few weeks ago, and realized I hadn't taken my presentation with me! I had the iPad on the trip, so I purchased Keynote and threw it on there. I created a pretty awesome presentation in just minutes. For my needs, it was more than sufficient. It's perfect if you need to create presentations and things of that nature on the fly. http://live.pirillo.com

A 16-Port USB Hub Hubbub

http://go.tagjag.com/thinkgeek - http://facebook.com/chrispirillo - http://twitter.com/chrispirillo - http://chris.pirillo.com - I love USB. I love the ports, the devices and the hubs. The problem with hubs, though, is that most of them top out at only seven little spots to plug things into. I have SO many USB devices. How the heck am I ever going to plug them all in at once? http://live.pirillo.com

The folks over at twelvesouth contacted me recently and offered to let me take a look at some of their products. They sent along a couple of BookArc stands. I thought they looked pretty cool, so I agreed to try them out. http://live.pirillo.com

How to Buy a Digital Camera

http://twitter.com/chrispirillo - http://facebook.com/chrispirillo - http://chris.pirillo.com - Mark called in the other night with questions about cameras. He's looking for a digital camera that will record in 720p. I tend to do a lot of reviews on different cameras and camcorders. iPad Screen Protector Installation

http://go.tagjag.com/nuvue - http://twitter.com/chrispirillo - http://facebook.com/chrispirillo - http://chris.pirillo.com - Newer Technologies sent me their NuVue screen protector to try out on my iPad. I want the screen to be more of a matte finish than the glossy one it is. I also want to try to keep fingerprints, dust and debris off of the screen. Putting a screen protector on isn't an easy task, but the NuVue actually went on fairly easily. http://live.pirillo.com

Google TV Thoughts

http://twitter.com/chrispirillo - http://facebook.com/chrispirillo - http://chris.pirillo.com - Someone in the live chat room asked me last night what my thoughts are about Google TV... bringing the Google experience to your television instead of just the Internet. It makes sense to me, given that Google owns YouTube. They are working with manufacturers to bring the Google TV experience into your homes around the world. Some people compare Apple TV to Google TV, and I don't feel that's exactly fair. http://live.pirillo.com

How to Lose Weight Fast

http://twitter.com/chrispirillo - http://facebook.com/chrispirillo - http://chris.pirillo.com - If you do a Google search for 'weight loss tips,' you'll find my post on the subject as the first result. One caller the other night asked me to expand on that, and give him an idea of some types of foods I usually eat. When I'm maintaining my weight, I tend to stick to about 2000 calories a day. I wouldn't say I'm a fanatic by any means. Eating healthy is a lifestyle choice for me, one that I am proud of and enjoy. http://live.pirillo.com

How Patent Wars Work

http://twitter.com/chrispirillo - http://facebook.com/chrispirillo - http://chris.pirillo.com - Holding a patent is your way of holding on to insurance. It's not so much that you'd want to enforce it - it's that you can use it as leverage. It's basically a weapon in a peeing contest. Right now, some companies can't do certain things because of patents. Their hands are completely tied. What is likely to happen is that Apple will allow HTC to do certain things, and HTC will reciprocate to Apple by allowing them to do other things. http://live.pirillo.com

iPad or iPod?

http://twitter.com/chrispirillo - http://facebook.com/chrispirillo - http://chris.pirillo.com - I had a caller the other night who is trying to decide between buying the iPod Touch or the iPad. He isn't sure which would be right for him, and hoped I would throw some advice his way. I asked the kid what he plans to use such a device for, so that I could make a better recommendation. However... he doesn't know what he wants to do with it. If you aren't sure what you need a device to do, why do you need it at all? DON'T buy anything yet simply because you "can" or want it. Buy it because you actually need and will use it! http://live.pirillo.com

How Private is Facebook?

http://facebook.com/chrispirillo - http://twitter.com/chrispirillo - http://chris.pirillo.com - Are you leaving Facebook? With all of the concern over privacy lately, many people are choosing to close their accounts. Others are educating themselves with the changes Facebook has made and making the best choices for their profile pages. Still more people are clueless... they don't realize what is being shared and with whom. They have no idea how to fix this problem once they do learn of it. They just keep going along with their heads in the sand, and hope for the best. This isn't the way things should be, folks. You shouldn't have to be so afraid of what the wrong person might see. The fact is, if you put something online then someone will see it. I have come up with the perfect two-step plan to help solve this problem. http://live.pirillo.com

iPhone Case Stand

http://go.tagjag.com/projeta - http://twitter.com/chrispirillo - http://facebook.com/chrispirillo - I can't stand my iPhone - literally! It won't stand up on its own. It's impossible to watch any type of videos on the phone unless I hold it at a particular angle. Who wants to do that all of the time? Don't even get me started on the fact that the sound is directed outwards instead of towards my ear. Make a Backup of Your iPhone / iPod Touch / iPad Apps List

http://twitter.com/chrispirillo - http://facebook.com/chrispirillo - http://chris.pirillo.com - It occurred to me recently that I have installed almost 600 applications on my MacBook Pro. Many of them were given to me to review, and quite a few of them were free. As I was going through the list in order to decide what I wanted to load onto my new iPad 3G, I realized that it would not be too cool if I were to lose all of these little beauties. Kodak Printer - Community Review

http://twitter.com/chrispirillo - http://facebook.com/chrispirillo - http://chris.pirillo.com - A couple of months ago, Kodak sent me the ESP 9 to review. Since more than one of those videos showed up on YouTube, there were - of course - a few haters in the comments. One commenter, though, was not only polite and nice... he actually asked if he could HAVE the ESP 9. I decided to send it to him. Here, you'll see his review. http://go.tagjag.com/clearcal - http://twitter.com/chrispirillo - http://chris.pirillo.com - http://facebook.com/chrispirillo - When I ordered my new MacBook Pro not long ago, I decided to go with the glossy screen. iPad 3G Unboxing

http://go.tagjag.com/apple - http://www.facebook.com/chrispirillo - http://twitter.com/ChrisPirillo - http://chris.pirillo.com/ - Yes, it's another iPad unboxing! It's pretty much like a regular ol' iPad unboxing, but 3G'ier. There's really not much to see in an Apple product unboxing, though. I mean, they do a pretty good job at packing and the product quality usually speaks for itself. However, since products can't speak, I'm forced to do the translating. After this video, my iPad 3G said: "I really hope people leave rude comments about me in the YouTube thread. They will sound uneducated. They won't bother to read the description, and I'll be forced to make fun of them. Oh, and I hope Chris gets accused of being an Apple Fanboy, too - because that's a convenient way out of any kind of coherent discussion. Attacking people because of their choices is like attacking people for the color of their skin - it's wrong. Then again, what do I know? I'm just a talking iPad 3G."

My friend Dave Delaney sent along the new A-Frame from the team at Griffin for me to review, and I have to say I'm impressed. I like the look and feel of this stand, and it works perfectly. It is very full-featured, and incorporates almost all of Twitter's features. You'll find geo-location, lists and list management, adding and blocking of people and more.
