Shopping Search

http://live.pirillo.com/ - Is there a search engine that will keep searching for something I want to buy until I find something or disable the search?

There are a couple of ways you can do this, but they're both tied into a subscription of sorts.

Google Alerts will do something similar to what you want:

Google Alerts are email updates of the latest relevant Google results (web, news, etc.) based on your choice of query or topic.

Some handy uses of Google Alerts include:

  • monitoring a developing news story
  • keeping current on a competitor or industry
  • getting the latest on a celebrity or event
  • keeping tabs on your favorite sports teams

You may also want to see if your favorite shopping sites have RSS or Atom feeds for searches, so you can subscribe to that search and be automatically notified when a new product is added or a price drops.

Do you have any suggestions?
