Vista Service Pack 1

http://live.pirillo.com/ - Windows Vista is half-baked, and Chris currently recommends that everyone waits until Service Pack 1.

A service pack, in Microsoft-speak, is an amalgamation of updates and tweaks for the operating system. They include old security updates, as well as new security updates and new features.

Microsoft has said that they will issue the first Service Pack for Vista within the first year of release. Chris believes this vindicates his belief that Vista just isn't ready for prime-time.

Should you wait to buy Vista until Service Pack 1, or buy Vista now? If you can, Chris recommends waiting until service pack 1 is released. Of course, if you buy a new machine, you're likely to have Vista already installed on it.
