Webcam Microphones

http://live.pirillo.com/ - Snakeyes11 wanted to know if he should use a webcam with a built in microphone, or if he should use a separate microphone to do streaming.

Generally, webcam microphones suck, period. If you want to stream with decent audio then you are far better off using a separate audio device rather than using the microphone built into your video device.

The audio quality you can get with a dedicated microphone, like the C01u USB Studio Condenser Microphone, far surpasses the sub-par microphone you will find in almost any webcam.

Do you have any recommendations for a webcam with a built in microphone? How about recommendations for a microphone?
