YouTube Videos

http://live.pirillo.com - Zoomrix asks what the best codec is to use for YouTube.

The quality that you upload, rather than the codec is more important:

  • 320x240 resolution
  • 30 frames per second
  • Around 250kbit/sec for video
  • Keep audio at 22khz
  • 4:3 aspect ratio
  • Keep the files under 100mb large and under 10 minutes long (unless your account doesn't have that time restriction)

If you don't know what any of those numbers mean, then don't worry about it: YouTube will take care of converting your video file for you (as long as you stay within the size and time limits).

If you have any recommendations for videos uploaded to YouTube post your comments here!
