What is a DLL?

http://live.pirillo.com - A .dll (or Dynamic Link Library file)file is a file that a program can 'call upon' to provide full functionality for the .exe (executable). A .dll is executionable, but not by itself. It requires a 'call' from the .exe in order to do what it needs to do.
