As you add more computers to your network you're going to lose available bandwidth, it's just a technical fact of using the wireless connection; however, for everyday use - IM, chat, e-mail, and web browsing - you should not notice any real speed degradation, unless you have hundreds of machines on the connection all accessing the network at the same time.

You may notice slowdowns if you are using network heavy applications, such as large file transfers between computers or having multiple computers playing network-intensive games; but, this is by no means typical use for a home user.

If you're not saving your files from nay program into one folder, you're making a big mistake, because you'll end up searching for files on your computer for hours before you find the file you want.

The "My Documents" folder was created for the express purpose of organizing all of your files - images, documents, videos, music, - and being able to easily find and transfer them.

Software, on the other hand, tends to scatter their data across your hard drive. Some programs on Windows will store them in their program directory, while other programs will store their files in another folder.

It's a pain. It sucks. And, there's almost nothing you can do about it except to manually save your files to the My Documents folder.

http://live.pirillo.com/ - How do you clean an LCD monitor? You can use a lot of substances, but the one thing you do not want to use is alcohol. Alcohol can create irreversible damage. So, what do you use?

Here are some tips to cleaning your LCD screen:

Use clean water, such as distilled water. Do not use tap water as it contains a lot of nasty stuff that could harm your display.
Use a soft fiber cloth, such as micro-fiber cloth hat you use to clean your glasses, or a soft cloth towel.
Do not use anything abrasive, such as paper towels, napkins, or tissue paper.
Do not use anything corrosive, such as alcohol or acid.

When you install a PCI card you need to make sure you have an open slot in your computer, or if you're using a laptop you can't fit a PCI card in it at all.

What's the best reason to use a USB stick for WiFi rather than a PCI card? It's the best way to quickly connect a machine to a wireless network. Plus, they're cheap, easy to install, and don't require removing the desktop case to add it.

For compatibility and mobility, USB beats PCI in many ways. What's your recommendation?

How to Cancel Cell Phone Service

http://live.pirillo.com/ - We don't know a single person on the entire planet that likes their service, and very few people who like their phones. Despite your displeasure with your cell phone company, canceling your service might be more unpleasant than staying with their service.

Unfortunately, the onus is on the customer to determine the cost of ending a contract. For those of us in the USA there is Cell Trade USA. As the name suggests is allows you to swap out your contract with someone else's contract.

For everyone who has a mobile device, here's a nice piece of information: don't just throw your old cell phone away, use Cell for Cash. They allow you to sell your cell phone. The amount of money you get back is based on demand and age, but you should get some money back for something that would otherwise waste away in your junk drawer.
